Erika Lamon Playing Friday, August 14th!
$10 or Pay What You Can
6-8PMFolk-rock songstress Erika Lamon is notorious for spending most of her time in her head, revisiting past moments, drawing inspiration from details that have gone unnoticed. With a sound steeped in reverie, reminiscent of Jewel, Dido and Lucy Rose, her songs are the outcries of a soul speaking its truth. Carried on captivating melodies, her lyrics will feel like they left your own lips.By the time she released her first single in 2016, Erika Lamon was already a household name in her hometown of Kingston (ON). She had spent two years hosting a wildly popular weekly open-mic that attracted talent from across Canada for her town’s singer-songwriter community. She released her self-titled debut EP in October 2017 in front of a packed house at Musiikki Café and would spend the next two years performing in tandem with her guitarist. In September 2019, Erika toured from Wolfe Island (ON) to Charlottetown (PEI) with fresh material and a new sound. Lush electric guitar tones, refined acoustic riffs, and vocal harmonies now create the atmosphere from which her lyrics flourish.
